Passport Requirements

To be eligible for a UK ETA, applicants must hold a valid biometric passport with an embedded microchip and the required security features. Only travelers with these passports from eligible countries can apply, streamlining entry for shorter visits.

Application Timing and Travel Planning

It’s recommended to apply for a UK ETA before finalizing travel plans, such as booking flights or accommodations. Once approved, the UK ETA is valid for two years and allows multiple entries, provided your personal and passport details remain the same. Processing is typically fast, with most applications completed within 72 hours.
